The Hermetic Tower

"These are notes I've gathered over the past few years about the mysterious Hermetic Tower. Since that fateful night when I first learned of its existence, it has become my obsession.

I've encountered several people who firmly confirm that the Tower is real, that they’ve met individuals either directly or indirectly who have entered and returned alive, with their deepest desires fulfilled. I’ve never been able to find these brave and fortunate souls myself, but I choose to believe they exist, out there somewhere, enjoying their wishes.

The very thought that my greatest desire could come true… is reason enough for me to become obsessed. One of the myths says that only those who wish for something with such intensity will be lucky enough to be invited to the Tower. They say no one can enter the Tower without an invitation, hence its name, The Hermetic Tower—it has no doors or windows.

I’ve also heard that you can’t tell anyone about your invitation, or it will be revoked. 'Never share the good things that happen to you,' they say.

What intrigues me most is the figure known as the Lantern Man. The little I know is that he’s called that because of his lantern—the Lantern of Wishes.

It seems I’ll finally get to meet him. I've received the invitation, which serves both as a guide and a key, and thanks to it, I’ve found the Tower’s location. I’m ready… I’m finally going to be happy."
